A Sweatlodge Prayer

I pray to be “One” within
I pray that the Light of my past
Merge with the Light of my present
I pray that the Dark of my past
Merge with the Dark of my present
I pray that the Light and the Dark of my past
Merge with the Light and Dark of my present
I pray to be “One” with ALL My Relations
This prayer is for me

Gratitude Prayer

We return thanks to our mother, the Earth,
Which sustains us.
We return thanks to the rivers and streams,
Which supply us with water.
We return thanks to all herbs, which furnish medicines for the cure of our diseases,
We return thanks to the moon and stars,
which have given to us their light when the sun was gone.
We return thanks to the sun,
that has looked upon the earth with a beneficent eye.
Lastly, we return thanks to the Great Spirit,
in Whom is embodied all goodness,
And who directs all things for the good of Her children.

My own idea is to add the Third Verse as ‘we’ to really create
the “Interbeing” and sense of Fellowship, Unity, and Oneness.
The Hero’s Journey: Our Personal Journey Through Life
Your Soul knows the Geography of your Destiny.
Your Soul alone has the Map of your Future,
Therefore, you can Trust this indirect, oblique side of yourself.
If you do, it will take you where you need to go,
But more importantly, it will teach you
A kindness of Rhythm in your Journey.

Creating Our Own Personal Myth
Each of us must write and live our own Personal Myth,
our own Holy Grail of Lived Experience,
creating a New Mythos for our Time.
Our Dreams already bring us clues,

Showing both their delicacy and their strength as a reminder of the qualities you contain
